Hooray, its November! This is anniversary month.
Soooo…because it’s anniversary month, I’m going to talk about the husband. 30 things, one for each day.
#1 Mo held me while we watched scary movies last night at his sister/bro-in-law’s house. Well, we watched the first scary movie on separate couches and then he took pity on me (I was totally balled up at the end of the couch, wrapped in a blanket, jumping at every scene). The second movie was better: my head on his chest, his arms holding me…do your worst, Headless Horseman.
I’m also starting Nursing Tuesday. Yes, I realize this is a blog about the days when I’m NOT a nurse, but it’s a big part of my life. And I wanna talk about it (With HIPAA laws in mind, of course).
I realized I wanted to become a nurse in 6th grade. That’s the age where people start asking you what you want to be when you grow up, right? My friend Chelsea and I had a plan: we’d become pediatric nurses and work together.
Now? We’re both nurses, working at different hospitals, and neither of us are working with kids. But I LOVE the work I do. Nursing is incredibly fulfilling and incredibly draining some days, but I’m happy with the career I’ve chosen. While it came to me pretty smoothly, I realize that finding that job/career can really be one of the hardest things. ever. I try not to take it for granted.
