Thank goodness for instagram, or most of you would think I disappeared! Let me tell you what I’ve been up to.
1. Fall stuff.
There are a few orchards near Nampa and they’re so much fun to explore this time of year! These pictures were taken at Williamson Orchard.
2. Wedding stuff.
Mo’s brother got married this month! Sasha has been part of the family for what seems like forever, but now it’s official!
A little before and after:
3. and I made the cake.
You guys, I made THE wedding cake. Lemon, huckleberry filling, buttercream icing. I had the best time doing it! Now I need another baking project to look forward too…
4. Friend stuff.
My friend Chelsea (also a nurse, but in another town) and I plan out these monthly ‘dates’ and we do anything from shopping to going to the zoo. For October, we went to Sun Valley for some ice skating, to wander through little shops, and to take awesome Fall pictures, like this one:
5. Work.
I’ve been at the hospital more than usual this month (and dealing with things like cardiac tamponade!!).
I was there 6 days last week. 2 for a nursing conference, 2 full days of work, and 2 half days. The one day off was spent chilling with Mo. For the rest of the month, it should be just the normal 3 a week. I hope.
But seriously. Check instagram (@anna_the_nurse) if you notice my absence and are curious what’s going on… I’m much more active on there than blogger, at the moment.
Just wanted to mention this months linkup coming this Wednesday!
You can talk about all the odd and quirky things about yourself that are only explained because you’re a nurse. For example, because I’m a nurse, I hear phantom beeping when I’m at home. Because I’m a nurse, I have 3 tubes of neosporin in my house. Sound good?
**Also, read this post about Nurses in Need. The fundraiser will be ending at the end of October, it’s not too late to donate! (and possibly win some Danskos.) Thanks to all those who have donated to my teampage so far!**
I’m off to Nampa’s haunted bike ride tonight! And then pumpkin carving later this week. What fun Halloween stuff are you doing??
Wow! Your cake making skills are insanely impressive. You are a woman of many talents

This is so cool you made the wedding cake! And your hair is just amazing, so full!
The adventure date idea with a friend sounds like a perfect escape from the work weeks.
great job on the wedding cake! impressive!
Oh that explains it…I don’t have instagram so that’s why I think you’ve disappeared! Angel also worked a couple overtime shifts in addition to his usual 3 a couple weeks ago, and at that point I start to wonder if he even lives here… 😛
