I don’t think they made it for 6’4” people.
The last 7 days have been in.sane (and my house took the brunt of it, unfortunately).
I worked Sunday night, Monday night, Tuesday night. Wednesday (anniversary day!) I slept for a few hours and then spent the rest of the day (until 11:30 pm) baking! Thursday (Thanksgiving!) I went on a little 12-mile bike ride, organized by Rolling H Cycles, and spent the rest of the day with family. Friday, Mo and I made waffles, cleaned OUR house (I may or may not have said something like “I hate how dirty my house gets…”), then we helped my brother move. Time, you pesky thing you. where did you go?
now, time for
a little a lot of catch up on anniversary month.
People tell me that Mo is very approachable and that he’s a good guy.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this.
He works so hard for our little family.
Mo is my biggest supporter. He’ll let me share my dreams and ideas with him and he’ll do what he can to make them happen.
number 21. (happy anniversary to us!)
My epiphany of the day: I remember people telling us that marriage would be “hard.”
It’s really not that bad.
The “hard” part is accepting constructive criticism from the person who knows you best and making changes to be the best possible version of yourself (aka a less annoying version of yourself).
number 22. (thanksgiving)
I’m thankful for redbox, and nights in, and nests of blankets and pillows on the floor. Perfect way to end the day.
Mo has the best ideas. I love brainstorming with him, whether it’s about treats to take to an event or about our future plans.
We might not always see eye to eye but we can communicate about it and that’s pretty darn important.
I hope all you dear friends had a fantastic Thanksgiving!
and guys. christmas is coming.
Mo is a sweetheart.
not many people would let me rattle on and on about all the turkey brining method I heard about on the radio!
(are you cooking a turkey this year? what’s your secret??)
Mo is brilliant.
For example, tonight it was raining hard when we left winco. So he went back inside, grabbed some newspapers, and we fashioned ourselves umbrellas so we could walk to the car together and stay sort of dry.
it reminded me of this unique umbrella.

We’re such an old couple at heart, and I kind of love it.
We go to texas roadhouse, order the same dishes we got the last two times we went (steak for him, country fried chicken for me), we quietly grumble to each other when the hooligans a table over start getting loud, and we always notice when our waiter does things like bring more water before we run out or kidnap my water glass for 10 minutes (that seriously happened a few weeks ago!).
I took this picture.
Then Mo modified it.
We also spent part of the weekend shopping for rain gear.
because we’re going to Portland in December.
Number 12. I love that Mo takes me places.
I woke up to Mo’s smooth jazz Pandora station. And before he rode off to work this morning, he asked me to make him breakfast in the form of a “banana hot dog.”
oh, you don’t know what that is?
It looks a little something like this:
(i sincerely hope all this mushy stuff isn’t bothering you… but it’s my blog, sooooo yeah)
Did I mention I came home from LA to find him fixing up a bike for me?
he has excellent taste in bikes.
