I’ve been down in California (Los Angeles, specifically) for the last week, attending a nursing conference and visiting family.
One of the best parts of visiting LA was coming home with a new appreciation for Idaho.
I realized just how many things I take for granted…like how clean it is here, how mild our traffic really is, and how the people here are normal. (if you live in LA, please don’t be offended. It’s not for everybody, that’s all).
But greeting my husband at the airport and looking around as we drove towards Nampa, I just felt very much like I’d come HOME.
Expect more LA pictures throughout the week.
Oh. Mo wanted me to share this message from him on the blog today:
I am sure that some of you have been hitting the F5 key anxiously all day yesterday to see the new featured cyclist. Well, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that there will not be another spot lighted cyclist for Mondays with Mo this week. In fact, there may not be another one on this site ever again! I would kindly ask you all to pick your jaws off the ground and put the hanky down. All is not lost, Anna and I have not given up on our project.
The good news: If you have enjoyed these articles or felt inspired to ride more because of them or feel less inclined to jerk the steering wheel in the direction of the first cyclist you see on your morning commute, then mission accomplished! There are simply not enough free days of the week to contain all of the unique and interesting thoughts going through my head. We are moving onward and upward to something that will surely end in failure! We are doing a cycling specific blog for the Nampa and surrounding area! We will start off with the regular “Mondays with Mo” cyclist feature and then hope grow into 3-4 posts a week kinda deal.
This does not mean we will be removing the cycling helmet from the banner of “The Days When I’m Not a Nurse.” It just means that there will be less cycling talk coming from me (on THIS blog).
